Be the Best

During this Quarantine

Quarantine a new thing for all of us. It has been a difficult and challenging time for the entire world. This worldwide pandemic affected us in such a way. For so many this meant getting the virus and surviving it, for others it proved to be so strong that they lost their lives, and then there are the families and friends that were left to deal with the loss of their loved ones.

NYC was hit hard

With the highest amount of confirmed cases and deaths in NYC everyone was saddened, but we proved to stick together. Essential workers put their lives at risk in order to keep things moving on a daily basis. Volunteers came together making masks for hospital workers, people prepared meals, delivered and donated/raised funds to feed both essential workers and families in need.

Showing Appreciation

At 7pm in NYC, everyone stops what their doing to show appreciation to all the essential workers. People come out on their balconies, terrace or window and start clapping, whistling, banging pots & pans or whatever they can to make some noise for those that put their lives at risk for the rest of the world.

Accepting the things we cannot change

We have been forced to slow down from our daily hustle and bustle. As New Yorkers we are so used to being on the move all the time. From sunrise to sundown we are constantly working non-stop, we are on the rise and grind motto. Needless to say to we have been forced to slow down, to power down, and reboot. Accepting it was not easy, but this is the time to seize it and do other things indoors.

Be the Best

As we are all home staying safe this is the time to work on ourselves and be the best. This is an opportunity for us to work on improving our relationships with our families, friends and loved ones. There are so many things that we can work on, like communicating & and keeping in touch with family and friends, work on organizing our homes, work on our finances by setting up a plan and reducing our spending habits, eat healthier, try new recipes, start an exercise routine (get moving, it doesn’t have to be a crazy workout), read self improvement books, improve your spiritual journey, add prayer to your day, start a journal for all the things that you are grateful for and the things you’d like to improve on . We currently have the time to do these things to be the best. I noticed that by doing the above, they have been of significant assistance to me.

Daily motivation

I know sometimes it is hard to find the motivation, but consistency is the key. You might not be able to do all of the above and that’s perfectly ok, but perhaps you can pick one or two things to help you to be your best. Time is of the essence so it’s up to us to make the best of it. Here is the thing, only you can make the change for yourself, no-one can do it for you, but the faster you start the faster you will start seeing beautiful improvements.

Thanks for reading my post. Hope it was helpful to someone.
