Just move

Working out is an important part of my life. And although we have been in quarantine for a few months and the gyms are still closed until further notice, I decided to do something and stay active.

I noticed that I was missing the high of working out, that feeling of being in the gym with other people working out at the same time, with everyone after the same goal of improving ourselves. I know from past experience that staying active and continuously doing something is extremely important. So, yes you guessed it, I had to start working out at home. At the end of the day some type of workout is better than not working out at all.

Stay Active

Like many people I had to figure out what I wanted to do to work out. I also had to decide how often I wanted to work out and the amount of time I could stick with as often as possible. However, the most important thing is to get started and stay active. Whether its walking, running, jogging, jumping rope, biking, going up flights of stairs, doing lunges, squats, ab exercises, band exercises, weight lifting, boxing, kick boxing, the elliptical machine, rowing, yoga, pilates, piyo etc. Just start and stay at it. In the beginning, it might be a challenge to do a few minutes, so perhaps you can do a few minutes at a time and do it a few times through out the day.

Tolerance & Improvement

But keep at it, stay active and you will see how your body will adapt and the workouts will become easier. Your body will begin to develop more tolerance. Soon enough you will notice that the same workout that appeared to be challenging a few days prior, now have become more comfortable and easy. This shows you how the body accepts whatever challenge you give it or put it through and how amazingly smart and strong it is. For those that own a car, they always like to maintain it make sure that it is well taken care of. Our bodies are definitely more important than a car, and you can always trade a car, but you only have one body. So lets do our best to keep it healthy and in the best shape possible.

When you get the Results

Here is the beautiful part about putting in the time, effort, hard work and keeping the momentum. The transformation and the results! I just love seeing the results from working out. There is a feeling of great satisfaction when you see your hard work paying off. It won’t happen over night, but with consistency those changes will happen. You will be glad you started your routine and stuck with it. So keep that momentum and watch those results begin to show.
