Make it your business to have a Good Day. Set the intention for the day.
Let me tell you, there is nothing like having the attitude that nothing is going to stop you from having a good day.
Ok, so think about it for a moment, is there ever a perfect day in life? I’d venture to say the answer is no, however it is our reaction and response to the various things and events that happen to us which allows us the opportunity to rise up and say to ourselves and to the world that it is always a good day to have a good day.
It’s kind of like this, when you fall you quickly stand up, when your apple watch dies you connect it immediately to charge, when your phones battery is dying you connect it immediately to charge. So our thoughts and actions should be just like that, on autopilot where you know what you have to do without giving it much thought or consideration and you adjust yourself and do what needs to be done.
You have the Power
There are times where the simple act of rising up and adjusting to a situation may be more challenging, and may require more focus and dedication, but it is up to you to make that choice. Only you can change things up and turn it into a positive one. Don’t let a comment that perhaps was meant to help you get you down or sad. Learn to let go of things quickly and move forward, this will definitely help you to maintain that positive streak to make it a good day.
Help someone else in need
Something else that will assist you in having a good day, is taking the time to help someone in need. It can be the simplest things that can make a difference in someone’s life, for example: holding the door for someone that is moving slowly when you’re rushing to catch the train, or sending a family member or friend a thank you for something they did via text, or taking the time help a stranger complete a form at the post office or giving someone a compliment of some sort, or simply sending someone an uplifting motivational message. These small gestures of kindness will make someone else happy and appreciated and therefore seeing their happiness will make you feel happy as well. Et viola you are now creating that feeling and vibe to have yourself a good day.
No excuses
At the end of the day it is your responsibility to make the choice to be happy and have a good day. So make it happen, be positive, stay positive and make it your business to make today a good day. It takes much more effort to stay in a negative and bitter state, which not to mention in the long run will affect your health. So yes, being positive and happy will also keep you healthy. Let’s spread this around, because this attitude/vibe/energy is contagious. Let’s be about that life, and have a good day every single day.
